Our SLP Schools app keeps getting better and better! Parents/guardians who have already created an account can now access new app features like Messages and Class Streams via web and in the app. If you haven't signed up, be sure to accept the email and/or text invite sent earlier this morning.

Attention PMS Parents and Families due to recent update we received school and classes will resume tomorrow Thursday 5/8/25. We shall also complete our last day to 5-8 LEAP 2025 Testing. We are scheduled to finish up with Session 3 of Science and Social Studies. Please help the students be present, on time, and ready to finish this year's testing as best as we Mighty Indians can. We appreciate all the help and grace you have given and shown this year with all the ebbs and flows. The end of the school year is upon us with 9 1/2 days left and we are all ready to finish up, but we have business and commitments to complete so let's do it!

After reviewing the latest weather conditions and updated forecasts, the school closure for Thursday, May 8th, has been canceled. Classes will resume and follow a normal schedule. Thanks for your flexibility and understanding.
Attention PMS Parents and Families due to the upcoming weather days and no school for those days there is an update to our LEAP 2025 Testing. Our last day of LEAP 2025 Testing will be this FRIDAY MAY 9th. We will test Session 3 of Science and Social Studies. Please make sure that everyone will be here if possible. We will have Make-up days on Monday May 12th and Tuesday May 13. Also, the 8th Grade Field Trip scheduled for this Friday May 9th will be rescheduled for Friday May 16th. Please help us finish as strongly as we Mighty Indians can. Thank you and stay safe for the next two days.
Due to forecasted flash flooding, all schools and administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, May 7th, and Thursday, May 8th. Lesson content will be delivered remotely through Google Classroom or written assignments. Completed assignments will serve as attendance documentation.

LEAP 2025 testing continues on Monday. We will be testing 3 sessions of Science and Social Studies starting Monday 5/5, Tuesday 5/6, and Wednesday 5/7. We will be having Make-ups on Thursday 5/8 and Friday 5/9. Please make sure that all students are well rested and on time each day so we can finish as strongly as we Mighty Indians can. Plaisance Middle School students participated in a presentation by Buffy "Mr. Magic" Coleman. Mr. Coleman provided motivational words and encouraged the students to do their best on the upcoming LEAP 2025 Testing.
Plaisance Middle School's 8th Grade Quest for Success class is partnering with Foster to Love to host a penny drive fundraiser from April 1- 30, 2025. All donations will benefit children in foster care placements in St. Landry Parish.

We will have Make-ups on Friday 5/2/25. We will test Science and Social Studies starting Monday 5/5/25, Tuesday 5/6/25 and Wednesday 5/7/25. Thursday 5/8/25 and Friday 5/9/25 will be our final Make-up days.
