Week 2 at MACA was smooth like glass. Students are settling into the school’s expectations and procedures. Admin has been supporting teachers and students in that process. During walkthroughs this week, Mrs. Joubert’s English II class was annotating a selection by Poe. Mrs. Reed was working with her Art students on Line Drawings. Ms. Fontenot was reviewing Ballet Vocabulary by allowing her students to watch a professional ballet practice.💙💛

PBIS Kickoff at MACA!

Yesterday, the entire MACA family gathered in the gym to kick off another great PBIS year! Together we reviewed our PBIS expectations, met the members of our Renaissance Team, and enjoyed an exciting performance from the PBIS Crew. We also recognized our staff team-building winners from the recent staff field trip and presented them with their well-earned trophy! It was a fun-filled kickoff focused on expectations, teamwork, and celebrating success at MACA!

Transportation Update 8/24/2026

L212 Annette Lastrapes’ bus will not run tomorrow, but they have a sub who will run Wednesday-Friday. The sub bus number is 562.

Parents and guardians, join us for Conversations with Castille on Thursday, August 27, at 5:30 PM in the MACA cafeteria. We’ll discuss important school rules and procedures and provide an opportunity for parents to ask questions and stay informed. We’re also excited to welcome Pelican Credit Union, who will be here to share information about the MACA Debit Card and other opportunities available to our students and families. Bonus for students: Any student whose parent or guardian attends will earn a FREE Jean Day next week! We hope to see you there!

See what's going on at MACA for the week of August 24-28... 💙💛

It’s has been a very busy first week at MACA! Our students are learning schedules, rules, and procedures. Inside the classrooms, teachers are building relationships, gathering diagnostic data, and establishing routines. During administrative walkthroughs, administration caught Mrs. Leger doing individual JAG interviews, Mrs. Dana working on Positive Perceptions, and Mrs. Jolivette-Wilson using the Scientific Inquiry in Groups. Keep up the great work Phoenixes!

NOTICE TO PARENTS: Transportation Department Special Saturday Hours

Please be advised that the Transportation Department will be working this Saturday, August 22nd from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to assist families with bus route inquiries. If you have any questions regarding your child's bus route, bus number, pickup location, or schedule, staff members will be available to assist you.
